This blog is about my adventures of launching a career in community development while coping with still being a single female “ready to mingle” at 30yrs old.
I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area five years ago after graduating from a Big Ten mid-west university in the state I was born and raised. After arriving to the West Coast my assimilation, into what is arguably the most progressive city in America, has been nothing short of comical. Many of these antics and life lessons I will be sharing with you.
I hope to reach two audiences through this blog: young professionals interested in community development, stretching their perspectives, trying to model their approach like Jesus; and single professional women who need a good laugh and encouragement.
I have been blessed with a remarkable support group of strong Christian women; the opportunity to work on amazing community projects with amazing community leaders, and am being exposed to interesting and challenging ideas everyday. Many of my blog topics and resources are what come out of my encounters.
